The special-feature new variety Camellia sinensis ev. ＇Yizaol ＇was derived from the variant plant in population with middle and little leaves in Sichuan by system selection. Compared with ＇ Fudindabaieha＇, ＇ Yizaol ＇ had such characteristics as earlier sprouting, stron- ger growth vigor,higher yield, more green and thick leaf ,bigger buds,longer growth period. The green tea from ＇ Yizaol ＇ had the features, such as persistent chestnut aroma,yellow-green and blight liquor.
