Summary:According to Census Bureau projections, the US is undergoing two simultaneous and significant population shifts: the over-65 population is rapidly increasing, as are the numbers of Hispanic, black, and Asian residents. Between 1999 and 2030 the older minority population, aged 65 and older, is projected to increase by 217%, compared with 81% for the older white population.
