The PI control strategy with disturbance observer is adopted in the single-phase SPWM inverter. Comprehensive theoretical analysis of this control strategy and traditional PI control is given, and the inverter systems with these two controllers are designed and simulated respectively in MATLAB. Besides, the control schemes are implemented on DSP platform using digital control algorithm. The simulation result and experimental result prove that compared with traditional PI control, the proposed scheme can achieve good dynamic and steady-state performance with better harmonic suppression, thus verifies the correctness of the theoretical analysis.
