Induction of immunogenicity by live attenuated Leishmania donovani centrin deleted parasites in dogs

Highlights ► We evaluate a centrin deleted parasite as vaccine in dogs. ► We compare with a commercially available recombinant vaccine. ► The vaccine was highly safe and immunogenic. ► The findings will contribute to the understanding of immunogenicity elicited by live attenuated vaccines.
