November 2, 2017 Good morning, my dear comrades with the belief in Marxism, I am very happy to attend the 12th forum of the World Association for Political Economy on the special day of the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution and in the special cities of Saint Petersburg and Moscow where the initial actions of the revolution took place. I am also greatly honored to be granted the World Marxian Economics Award. The victory of the October Revolution made the scientific socialist theory of Marx and Engels become a reality via practice, led to the establishment of a country that, for the first time, was governed by the labors themselves, ended the thousands-year icy and solid rule of the exploiting class, started a new way for human society to advance, designated the path toward the communism and greatly inspired the struggle for liberation of the laboring people throughout the world. Comrade Mao Zedong stated, "The explosion of the October Revolution ushered the Marxism-Leninism into China," which showed the significant role the October Revolution played in disseminating Marxism and inspiring the masses' revolutionary will. Although the socialism has been suffering frustrations in some countries, great and brilliant achievements have been made by the Chinese people on the socialist path with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
