Summary:Many Czech intellectuals have asked if the question of national identity, in times when we are working towards an integrated Europe, is pertinent? The results of their research do not bring the expected satisfaction in the form of clearly formulated answers or straightforward solutions. The Czech political representation does not have comprehensive answers either. However, it must be said that in comparison with the aforesaid intellectuals, the politicians’ approach is often more forthright. There are also possible solutions.
