Summary: | Stable free radical formation was observed in the binary powders of silicates and general organic compounds by the use of ESR at room temperature in the air. A large amount of free radicals was formed, if an OH or COOH group containing organic molecule was used. Free radicals were stable not only in the air but also in the suspension of benzene. However, they disappeared immediately upon contact with proton donating liquid molecules. Increase in spectral intensities with time and variation of spectral shapes with moisture were observed. |
