Metabolism of 9, 3"-Diacetylmidecamycin. II. The Structures of Several Metabolites of 9, 3"-Diacetylmidecamycin

Summary: | The structures of several metabolites of 9, 3"-diacetylmidecamycin were studied by means of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and mass spectroscopy. It was shown that these metabolites are a pair of 14-hydroxylated compounds which differ in the stereochemistry at carbon-14 of the macrocyclic lactone ring, and the corresponding 9-de-acetylated products. |
