Summary: | Polymerization—a single molecule view: Molecular motion of free and incorporated single perylene diimide derivatives during radical polymerization of styrene and styrene networks, studied by a combination of fluorescence correlation spectroscopy and wide‐field microscopy, can be observed over the entire conversion range from free diffusion to immobilization of the dyes. In particular, the presence of evolving heterogeneities could be visualized. |
