Summary: | Ozonation has been demonstrated to be an effective technology for the oxidation of organic matters in water treatment. But the low solubility and low mass transfer efficiency limit the application. Microbubble technology has the potential of enhancing gas-liquid mass transfer efficiency, thus it can be applied in ozonation process. The applications of microbubble ozonation have shown advantages over macro bubble ozonation in mass transfer and reaction rate. Microbubble ozonation will be a promising treatment both in water and wastewater treatment. |
