Summary:Polyelectrolyte (PE) (see Figure) and PE–nanoparticle hybrid nanotubes are prepared by the layer‐by‐layer deposition of oppositely charged species into the cylindrical pores of polycarbonate membrane templates. This method affords the preparation of compositionally complex tubes with nanometer‐level controllable tube wall thicknesses and enhanced structural stabilities.
