Natriorexigenic effect of DAMGO is decreased by blocking AT1 receptors in the central nucleus of the amygdala

Highlights • Intra-CeA losartan suppressed sodium intake induced by intra-CeA DAMGO in WD–PR rats. • Intra-CeA losartan reduced sodium intake induced by intra-CeA DAMGO in FURO/CAP rats. • Natriorexigenic effect of DAMGO is reduced by AT1 receptor blockade in the CeA.
