Antihypertensive and vasodilator effects of methanolic extract of Inula viscosa : Biological evaluation and POM analysis of cynarin, chlorogenic acid as potential hypertensive
Graphical abstract The tested methanolic extract of Inula viscosa decreased hypertension induced in rats by L-NAME treatment. This antihypertensive effect may be partly due to the vasorelaxant effect of MeOH-extract, through the actions of two of its phenolic compounds, cynarin and chlogenic acid. H...

Summary: | Graphical abstract The tested methanolic extract of Inula viscosa decreased hypertension induced in rats by L-NAME treatment. This antihypertensive effect may be partly due to the vasorelaxant effect of MeOH-extract, through the actions of two of its phenolic compounds, cynarin and chlogenic acid. However other compounds would certainly be involved in this effect. POM analysis is affirmative in chlorogenic and cynarin acids as potential models for cardiovascular drug design. |
