Summary: | On Jul 1, 2013, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) began implementation of the Next Accreditation System (NAS). Annual data reporting for residency programs in the NAS includes 9 reporting components. In addition to 3 new components (Milestones reporting, Clinical Learning Environment Review, and the annual faculty survey), the ACGME recently made substantial changes to the annual resident survey. Here, Adams et al evaluate Internal Medicine program directors' perceptions of the new ACGME survey and identify specific areas of perceived or real inconsistency or areas allowing for misinterpretation. |
