Distribution pattern of microfilariae in relation to sex and age in Guatemalan onchocerciasis
From a study of skin snips from 1050 inhabitants in the area of Guatemala endemic for onchocerciasis, it appears that the sites giving the best results are the iliac crest in males and the shoulder in females.
