Summary: | Traditional polyamide goods have suffered greatly as a result of the deteriorating environmental situation and the growing depletion of petroleum resources. Therefore, research and development of bio‐based polyamide materials gains increasing popularity. The emergence of Polyamide 56 (PA56), a brand‐new class of biomaterial that has the excellent moisture absorption and dyeability properties, has garnered considerable interest. This review screens the research on bio‐based PA56 in the past 20 years, summarizing the synthesis method, condensed structure, material properties, and market applications of PA56. The research and development direction of PA56 material is analyzed and predicted.
