Summary:Activation of proliferative processes (Ki-67 proliferation index) and local oxidative stress was found in biopsy material from the mucosa of the large intestine of patients at the early stages of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome on days 5-10 after disease onset. Analysis of data of rectosigmoidoscopy and clinical examination refl ected the presence of colitis. It can be suggested that activation of proliferation is typically associated with local oxidative stress during various pathological processes.
