Genomic analyses of the Daphnia pulex peptidome

Research highlights ► This is the first characterization of a crustacean peptidome based on a fully sequenced genome. ► 24 genes, representing 23 distinct peptide families/subfamilies, were identified. ► 96 peptides were predicted, including the first crustacean isoform of allatotropin.
