Anxiety provokes balance deficits that are selectively dopa-responsive in parkinson’s disease

Highlights • Anxiety influences balance control in PD, especially those who are highly anxious. • Dopamine appears to modulate anxiety, although it had limited effects on balance. • Anxiety did not habituate with continued exposure to threat in highly anxious PD.
