A new bile acid from the bile of Anser anser

A new compound, named 3α-acetoxy-7α-hydroxy-5β-cholan-24-oic acid (2), along with chenodeoxycholic acid (1), was isolated from the bile of Anser anser. Their structures were elucidated by means of physicochemical properties and spectroscopic methods (1D, 2D NMR and MS).
