Summary:The use of NMR spectroscopy in investigations of phase transitions in aqueous polymer solutions and gels is reviewed. Results on this subject as obtained mostly for thermoresponsive polymers (e.g., poly( N-isopropylacrylamide) and its copolymers, poly( N-isopropylmethacrylamide) and its copolymers, poly(vinyl methyl ether)) from temperature dependences of 1H and 13C NMR spectra, spin–lattice and spin–spin relaxation times, diffusion coefficients and NMR images are discussed.
