Summary:Endogone aggregata, E. tuberculosa and Sclerogone eucalypti gen. et sp. nov. have been shown to form ectomycorrhizas with Eucalyptus and other Australian ectomycorrhizal hosts, mycorrhiza complexity differing depending on fungus and host. E. flammicorona, however, formed ectomycorrhiza only with Pinus. E. reticulata grew among the roots of eucalypts and other plants but appeared to be non-mycorrhizal. E. aggregata, E. tuberculosa, E. reticulata and S. eucalypti all grew on weak agar media, but E. flammicorona although often growing extensively from sporocarps was not subcultured successfully.
