Summary:On reading Dr. Patane’s article: “Valsalva hemorrhagic retinopathy presenting as a rare cause of impaired vision after a general anesthetic—a case report and review of literature” on your journal [1], we’d like to share our experience of a similar case and preventive measures to reduce anesthesia-related wound dehiscence after eye surgery. The sudden rise in intra-thoracic pressure leads to increased intraocular pressure, causing suture tear during nausea or vomiting or coughing.
