Summary:To analyze the compacting effect of powder by ultrasonic vibration under static pressures applied to the powder, we suggested a new theoretical analysis model and examined the compaction effect of the powder sample. The change of physical properties of the compacted powder assisted with ultrasound is also measured under various static pressures. For the compacted powder assisted with the ultrasonic vibration of 29 kHz under different static pressures, it was confirmed that the density increased by about 3 ∼ 12%, the sound speed increased exponentially from 300 m s−1 to 1100 m s−1, and the homogeneity is remarkably improved.
