Long-range photoinduced electron transfer mediated by oligo-p-phenylenebutadiynylene conjugated bridges

A series of novel zinc porphyrin/C-60 dyads connected by 20-40 angstrom long intervening modules involving pi-conjugated p-phenylenebutadiynylene oligomers underwent long-range photoinduced electron transfer with an attenuation factor (beta) of 0.25 angstrom(-1).
