Summary:Enlightening particles: A contrast agent for in vivo X‐ray computed tomography (CT) imaging is composed of an Yb‐based nanoparticle (NP) that is stabilized with oleic acid and modified with the biocompatible polymer DSPE‐PEG 2000 (see picture). The contrast agent exhibits long circulation time in vivo and low toxicity and is also much more effective than a clinical iodinated agent.
