Summary:Splanchnic vein thrombosis is a severe complication of pancreatitis. To date, no consensus over the management of pancreatitis‐related splanchnic vein thrombosis has been established. Based on the consensus of multidisciplinary experts, this practice guidance systematically reviewed the epidemiology, anatomy, pathophysiology, risk assessment and clinical presentations of splanchnic vein thrombosis, and formulated a diagnosis and treatment strategy for providing guidance in clinical practice for this disease.
