Summary:We describe an arthroscopic technique that allows complete examination of the long head of the biceps tendon. Important additional information during arthroscopic examination of the shoulder can be obtained by including inspection of the intertubercular portion of the tendon. Failure to inspect this portion of the tendon may lead to an unsuccessful and frustrating postoperative course for both the patient and physician.
