Summary:The synchrotron radiation accelerator (SRA) was used to analyze the hydration properties of high performance slag concrete in this study. The results show that, as the water to binder ratio increases, the speed of hydration of alite and C 3A increase, as do the formation rates of CH and ettringite (AFt). Also, if the content of slag produces pozzolanic reaction, then the formation rate of CH will decrease, especially when the age increases. In short, the structures of CH, AFt and AFm can be analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively by SRA.
