Summary: | Sporadic medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) usually presents with a thyroid mass, cervical lymphadenopathy or other local cervical symptoms. The management of hypervascular thyroid tumours is discussed together with current controversies regarding persistent hypercalcitoninaemia. |
