Summary:An autopsy case of primary rhabdomyosarcoma of the liver in a 70-year-old man is described. The case could not be clinically differentiated from hepatocellular carcinoma. The tumor showed typical features of rhabdomyosarcoma; phosphotungstic acid hematoxylin (PTAH)-positive myofibrils and cross-striations were observed in the cytoplasm of highly plemorphic tumor cells.
