Summary:Abstract Urine retention and voiding dysfunction are infrequent adverse effects in second generation antipsychotics. We present a male patient who developed voiding difficulties after aripiprazole treatment. Close follow-up of a patient after initiating aripiprazole treatment is critical. Lowering the dosage of aripiprazole or changing the antipsychotic medication might be helpful in this situation.
