Anatomic organization and physiology of the limbic cortex

Evidence is considered that the limbic areas of the cortex form an anatomic entity, and the main circuits of the limbic cortex are described. The limbic cortical areas are specialized in making and holding associations between meaningful stimuli and behavioral responses.
