Summary:Problems in designing the systems for digital automatic control of parameters of pulse-power amplifiers of radar systems are outlined. A model of the digital automatic gain control system of pulse-power amplifiers with bipolar transistors is proposed. This system shapes the leading and trailing edges of a radio pulse and adjusts the gain within the pulse itself in order to maintain the set output power level. The behavior of the proposed model in operation with a long pulse and a train of short pulses is examined.
