Summary:The current work deals with simple, one step and direct approach of fabrication of circular micro-channels using wires of micro dimensions. To modify the inert surface of PDMS, for immobilization of biomolecules and its further applications, in situ synthesis of gold nanoparticles was carried out. Compared to 2D, 3D structures in poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) can achieve more functions and is used in many microfluidic applications like micro-mixers, micro reactors, bio-system analysis and immuno-sensors. The current work deals with simple, one step and direct approach of fabrication of circular micro-channels using wires of micro dimensions. To modify the inert surface of PDMS, for immobilization of biomolecules and its further applications, in situ synthesis of gold nanoparticles was carried out.
