Summary:Although combined heart and lung transplantation has great potential for improving survival and rehabilitation in selected patients with pulmonary vascular disease, the lack of suitable donor organs has restricted the number of operations performed. We report a heart and lung transplantation operation for Eisenmenger's syndrome in which distant donor graft procurement was used with a simple system for preservation.
