Summary: | We investigate the possibility of optically manipulating the topological phase transition in a two-dimensional square lattice with staggered on-site energy and anisotropy next-nearest-neighbor hopping integral (an extended Haldane model), from the trivial insulator phase to the Chern insulator phase. Under the circular-polarization laser field, we calculate the energy spectrum of the system and obtain the Chern number phase diagram. The implications of our results are discussed. |
