Summary:Abstract Vitamin D, a fat-soluble vitamin, is found in many animal products and fortified foods and is endogenously made in the human body. Vitamin D supplementation has become a part of the routine prescription; its continuous intake without any follow-up has led to hypervitaminosis D due to overdosing. Hypercalcemia accompanies hypervitaminosis D, affecting bone health, blood pressure, and kidney function. We studied six cases that landed in hypervitaminosis D due to prolonged intake.
