New Flavonoids from Cucumis sativus

Nine compounds including two new flavonoids that were identified using UV and NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry as apigenin 6- C -(4-hydroxy-1-ethylbenzene)-8- C -(2′′′- O - β -D-glucopyranosyl)- β -D-glucopyranoside (cucumerin C, 1 ) and apigenin 6- C -(2′′′- O-β -D-glucopyranosyl)- β -D-gluco...

Summary:Nine compounds including two new flavonoids that were identified using UV and NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry as apigenin 6- C -(4-hydroxy-1-ethylbenzene)-8- C -(2′′′- O - β -D-glucopyranosyl)- β -D-glucopyranoside (cucumerin C, 1 ) and apigenin 6- C -(2′′′- O-β -D-glucopyranosyl)- β -D-glucopyranoside- 8- C -(4-hydroxy-1-ethylbenzene) (cucumerin D, 2 ) were isolated from leaves of Cucumis sativus L. (Cucurbitaceae). Compounds 1 and 2 inhibited pancreatic lipase activity.
