The study of molecular mechanisms of transduc tion of hormonal signals is a topical problem of mod ern biology. Cytokinins are classic phytohormones playing a key role in the regulation of plant growth and development. They stimulate cell division, photomor phogenesis, pigment biosynthesis, shoot regeneration in tissue culture, and prevent leaf aging and apical dominance [1].
