Effect of anticoagulation on the occurrence of deep venous thrombosis associated with temporary transvenous femoral pacemakers

Deep venous thrombosis is a frequent complication of temporary transvenous femoral pacemakers. This study shows a significant risk reduction for deep venous thrombosis with the adjuvant use of therapeutic heparin.
