Prognostic usefulness of an increase of N-terminal proatrial natriuretic peptide during exercise in patients with chronic heart failure

Larsen et al show that although patients with congestive heart failure have elevated plasma levels of N-terminal proatrial natriuretic peptide compared with healthy persons, this neurohormone is further increased during exercise in such patients.
