Summary: | Highlights•We developed a noninvasive prenatal paternity testing (NIPPT) method based on target sequencing strategy. •For the first time, we systemically evaluate the efficiency, reliability and sensitivity of NIPPT through a scaled trial. •Our results suggest that NIPPT can accurately determine paternity from 6 weeks after conception until born. •The fetal DNA fraction increased rapidly at the last trimester until delivery but moderately at the second trimester. |
