Identification of Hsp90 as a species independent H5N1 avian influenza A virus PB2 interacting protein

Highlights • Influenza A PB2 protein is an important mediator of species adaptation. • Mammalian and avian cell proteins that interacted with Influenza A PB2 protein were identified. • Hsp90 was shown to interact with PB2 in both mammalian and avian cells.
