Polyadenylated RNA and scrapie in mice

It has been reported that infection of mice with scrapie results in changes in the polyadenylated RNA metabolism of the host. We have attempted to repeat some aspects of this work, using the same methods, but have failed to confirm the earlier fundamental conclusions.
