Summary:Micro-Abstract Retroperitoneal lymph node dissection has been accepted as standard of care for the management of patients with metastatic nonseminomatous germ cell tumors. However, our results suggest that, in patients with metastatic nonseminomatous germ cell tumors of the testis, resection of residual retroperitoneal masses alone is a safe alternative to a difficult, potentially morbid bilateral dissection.
