Photon beam quality correction factors for the NE2571A and NE2581A thimble ionization chambers using PENELOPE

Highlights • Quality correction factors of the NE2571A and NE2581A chambers have been calculated. • Results are compared to those of NE2571 and NE2581 chambers quoted in previous works. • NE2571A and NE2581A results agree with those of the NE2571 and NE2581 chambers.
