Summary:We have studied the role of spin-3/2 hyperon resonances in the kaon photoproduction γp → K+Λ by using an isobar model within the effective Lagrangian approach. This study provides an extension to our previous study, which investigated the effect of nucleon resonances with spins up to 5/2. In the current investigation we have added 7 hyperon resonances with spin-3/2 to the model. The result indicates that the inclusion of spin-3/2 hyperon resonances have a significant effect on this model, i.e., the value of χ2 can be substantially reduced. Significant improvement can be observed in the polarization observables, especially in the backward angles.
