Summary:Considering energy conservation, angular momentum conservation, and the particles' back reaction to space–time, the scalar particles' Hawking radiation from a BTZ black hole was investigated using Damour–Ruffini method. The exact expression of the emission rate near the horizon is obtained and the result indicates that Hawking radiation spectrum is not purely thermal. The result obtained is consistent with the previous literatures. It is in agreement with an underlying unitary theory and offers a possible mechanism to explain the information loss paradox. Whereas, the method is more concise and understandable.
