Summary:The lymphatic vasculature plays important role in regulating fluid homeostasis, intestinal lipid absorption, and immune surveillance in humans. Malfunction of lymphatic vasculature leads to several human diseases. Understanding the underlying fundamental mechanism in lymphatic vascular development could provide a new therapeutic approach. Hippo-YAP/TAZ signaling pathway has emerged as a key player in controlling organ size and tissue homeostasis. Here, we review the molecular mechanisms by which Hippo-YAP/TAZ pathway regulates lymphatic specification, sprouting, and maturation.
